Brothers
Johnathon Lyles, a free black man,
who migrated north and purchased
land near Princeton, Indiana. In 1870
he donated 6 acres of his land to
the Airline Railroad for a rail
station.  In 1886, the town was
named Lyles Station, in honor of his
donation to the community.
